Gratitude Mural
Client: Vestar for The Gateway
I created an interactive mural for The Gateway, an outdoor shopping and entertainment complex located in downtown Salt Lake City. The mural includes prompts for people to fill in with chalk. I pitched the phrase "Keep a Grateful Heart" along with illustrations that reflect The Gateway's mission of being a family-friendly gathering place for the community.
The following are the concepts I pitched in the ideation phase. The client chose the copy and color palette from the first concept and the illustration from the second concept.
The mural was painted in Behr Marquee using a-frame ladders and a scissor lift. The lines of "I'm thankful for" were made with a stencil and Montana Black spray paint.
